I wanted to update you on some of the recent data about both the national and our valley’s housing market.
- Home Sales Jumped 30% in the West
- Phoenix was much stronger with a 70% rise over last year(have you heard this story???)
- The Valley’s median sale price fell by 13% from last year
- BUT, prices are up 13.9% since their low in March
- Nationally sales soared by almost 47%

LOS ANGELES – Home sales jumped 30 percent in the Western region of the country in November, driven largely by first-time buyers racing to qualify for a tax credit that was set to expire.
In the Phoenix area, the change was far more dramatic, with November home sales up 70 percent from a year earlier, according to a National Association of Realtors report based on data from the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service.
