Top Most Exceptional Fall Color Forest Spots That You Should Visit

If you are searching for the best spots where you can better witness the beauty of the fall colors, well, search no more as we will bring you the top 10 most exceptional fall color forest spots here in the U.S.

The Green Mountains of Vermont

Vermont was considered Mecca for those serious viewers from both Canada and the Eastern portion of the United States. The Green Mountains National Forest follows the central Vermont from Massachusetts up to Appalachian Gap.

The viewing dates in the North, starts during the second week of September at higher elevation. The fall forest viewing season often reaches its peak and runs towards the southern portion at the first or second week of October.

White Mountain National Forest and Kancamagus Scenic Byway

The Kancamagus scenic byway is also referred to as the White Mountain Trails. The drive will take over three hours and goes throughout the other two of the famous notches of White Mountains which are known as gaps and passes on other parts of the country. There are also other wonderful views that can be seen from the mountains like tall cliffs and also the famous attraction called “Old Man of the Mountain located in the Franconia Notch.

Viewing dates starts as early as the second week of September at higher elevation. The fall viewing often reaches its peak during the first and the second week of October.

North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Parkway

Blue ridge Parkway features a 469 miles scenic parkway run by the National Park Service. Its limited access road stretches from the Shenandoah National Park towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, north of the Carolina and Tennessee border.

Fall color viewers flock here at Blue Ridge Parkway to witness the leaf show because of its elevated views of wooded valleys and mountains of the Southern Highlands.

For great views at higher elevations, the viewing dates starts on the first week of October. This fall viewing season also reaches its peak on the third week of October and runs towards the southern portion on the first week of November.

Quebec Canada’s Laurentian Mountains

Located at the northern portion of Montreal is the Mont- Tremblant National Park. The fall color season is said to be more special when viewed at Laurentian Mountains where you can see beautiful falling leaves at the last week of September at the Symphonie des Couleurs of Tremblant.

Viewing dates start at the last week of September with high elevations. The peak of the fall season starts at the second week of the month of October.
