Scottsdale ArtWalk 2013
The downtown area of Scottsdale is certainly one among the few places in greater Phoenix that seems great when talking about “walking around”. That concept was being used by the Scottsdale Gallery Association is the best way with Scottsdale ArtWalk.

Scottsdale ArtWalk is also known as the “America’s Original ArtWalk”. It’s like a huge and easy- going open house for Scottsdale Arts District. It is a 30-year tradition where more than hundreds of art galleries in Scottsdale will open their doors to all art lovers, people watchers, and guests from any places of the world to showcase the artworks of the best artists in the Southwest.
The procedure is just very simple- move at your own speed, stroll around the galleries, and wander on the wonderful places punctuated by spectacular statues, enjoy live music performances, and satisfy your hungry stomach with famous restaurants along the way.
There are lots of art galleries in downtown Scottsdale that features Western art, glass art, bronze art, traditional oils, pottery, ceramics, watercolours, and a lot more. Scottsdale ArtWalk is totally a different environment. Anyone can absolutely feel the ease and comfort of walking inside and around the gallery with the entire family and friends.
The ArtWalk galleries are staffed with personnel who will answer all your questions about artists, artworks, and art. During summer, Scottsdale ArtWalk is also a well- known destination because all those art galleries are fully air conditioned and if you’re fortunate, you can have a chance to come across several artists working on their artworks. Never hesitate to stop for a while and chat with them, but don’t take pictures of working those working artists without their permission.
The event usually happened every Thursday night from 7:00 PM up to 9 PM, and it will take place along the Marshall Way and Main Street in downtown Scottsdale.
Trolley rides and horse- drawn carriages are available and are a great way to go to the art galleries. The trolley rides are offered for free and usually operates all year round and runs every Thursday night up to 9:00 in the evening.

Public parking areas are free of charge along with numerous street parking. Valet parking is also available in some selected areas with a nominal fee.
