Great Thing about Living in Scottsdale is living Next to Southern California!

One of the many great things about living in Scottsdale (and McDowell Mountain Ranch!) is the city’s close vicinity to so many terrific destinations.  Among these is Southern California, specifically Hollywood, Los Angeles and San Diego– a painless, convenient 4-hour drive.

‘Southern California’ is faces a flock of anxiously excited tourists each year – and for good reason. The area is home to some of the world’s best amusement parks and entertainment arenas in the world, which is why the Southern California is on the Cameron family’s list of places to go!

Here is a quick rundown of venues to patron when traveling in this beautiful place, make sure you have enough time to visit them all if you can:

#1 – Universal Studios: Perhaps famously known as being “home of the movies”, Universal Studios attracts tourists from all over the world. Universal is so famous, that a park was built in Tokyo, Japan to accommodate for the demand (incredible!). Among its many, many things to do is the legendary Studio Tour (showing where blockbuster movies have been made), a vast array of awesomely fun rides and shows, 4-D (!) movies, and roller coasters.  If you love watching movie, you definitely want to visit here.

#2 – Disney World: Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have at least heard of Disney World, the world’s most famous attraction park. Disney became famous for its animation attractions, and then grew into a park with trill and water rides, multi-dimensional movies, carousels, and fireworks.

#3 – Hollywood Studios: This is Disney World’s version of Universal Studios – with a huge array of rides and attractions, while also having many stage shows and spectaculars. Perhaps any kids favorite though: the Disney Character experiences.  If you got kids, this is a sure place to take them to.

#4 – Sea World: Housing ten orcas Sea World in San Diego is an awesome place to go to see a variety of marine animals, but also includes roller coasters and thrill rides. The animal shows are still what bring the masses, including a spectacular killer whale show and a comedic performance with sea lions and otters.  Do you love action?  Then make sure to go here to have plenty of fun!

#5 – Knott’s Berry Farm: While it may not be as well-known as the behemoths previously mentioned, Knott’s is an incredible achievement in its own right. The 13th-most visited amusement park in North America hosts about 4 million visitors a year and features 40 rides. Roller coasts, water rides and children’s rides are among the attractions, with more plans to expand the park.  This is one of the best places to visit, it has something to keep everyone busy.

So this is why McDowell Mountain Ranch in Scottsdale is the perfect place to live close to all the active, enjoyment and entertainment, yet very peaceful and short 4 hour drive away.  You can not go wrong buying a home in this area.  For any questions, feel free to contact The Cameron Team.
