Festival of the West, a celebration of ALL things Western, is one of the largest events of its kind in the nation! If you want to immerse yourself in Western culture, this is the place to go. It attracts visitors from all around the world to get into the lore and romance of the American West. Entertainment is a plenty here, Western music playing all day, films and TV celebrities that are Western, costume contests, arena events that are action packed, cooking competitions off chuck wagons, log home show and over 200 unique Western merchandises are up for sale. Along with all the activities, the food is fantastic and this is a good time for the entire family!

“It’s Never Too Late To Become A Cowboy”

Don’t miss this once a year activity and be part of the history as cowboys coming from other parts of the world will come together to celebrate this Western tradition. The Festival of the West will be held at WestWorld Scottsdale on March 21-24, 2013.

You will surely become busy from sunrise to sunset with their activities for the entire family. Festival of the West also features 2 wonderful horse drawn wagon entries during the parade, as well as over 25 Arizona Gunfighters dressed in period garb walking and riding to represent the Festival of the West.

Festival of The West 2013 activities includes Extreme Cowboy Races, interactive leather and blacksmith exhibits, and Chuckwagon cook-offs. You can also entertain your kids to the Kids Zone for activities like western themed rides, horseshoe painting, and stick horse making. And for those who love shopping, you can also shop at their Western Trade Show and look for something that you can bring home.

Whiskey Tasting and Beer Saloon

This is one of this year’s newest activities that will happen during the Festival of the West 2013. It is located near the BBQ and Chuck Wagon competitions. Learn more about the old west’s drink of choice with this whiskey tasting and chase it down with cold beers in the Festival Saloon.

Be amused by the sounds of the old and new west with the best Western music and cowboy poetry and storytelling.
