The long wait is over. Finally, here is the newest and improved Gmail inbox that will put users back in control by simply using easy and simple organization.

After the announcement made by Gmail last week, the latest version of Gmail for iPad and iPhone and Gmail for Androids are now officially available for downloads on your App store.

The improved design doesn’t only offers the new multi- tab, and category- based inbox but also provides the ability to set customizable notification options for each account. You just have to choose your preferred categories and that’s it. Your Gmail inbox is now organized in such a way that you can view what’s the latest. However, these customizable notifications only functions with the latest Gmail inbox version.

According to Google on its app’s description, “Get notified for all messages, only important messages, or none at all, on a per account basis.”

With this latest design, Gmail users can now customize their own inbox by simply choosing the tabs that they wish to use and then moving email messages between those tabs. Users can also star messages or set specific senders to stay on the primary tab at all times.

Google added saying that, “If the new inbox isn’t quite your style, you can simply switch off all optional tabs to go back to classic view, or switch to any of your other favorite inbox types.”

Google introduced this redesigned Gmail inbox to give its users more control and organizational tool over their personal inbox. According to Google, this new inbox would gradually roll out and will also be available on iOS, Android, and desktop PC in a few weeks, but those eager users can sooner get its Desktop look by simply going to the Configure inbox immediately whenever the option appears on the Settings option of your inbox.
