ARIZONA CARDINALS TRADE ANQUAN BOLDIN TO THE RAVANS!

I hate losing a player like this! It happened so many years ago with Aeneas Williams. As a fan, I feel we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to Aeneas and won’t get a chance with Anquan.

Anquan Boldin was such a tough player, he brought his lunch box to work everyday. To see a receiver crash through NFL professional linebackers and defensive backs like they were college players is amazing, and Anquan did just that. I will miss watching him with my Red Birds, but this is the NFL today. Honestly, was it really that much money? $28 million over 4 years? That is $3million less a year that Larry Fitzgerald is being paid. Would the Arizona Cardinals not pay that amount or was Q done with his AZ run and just needed a change?

In Baltimore he will be THE star! No shadow of Larry. Not only that, he is the missing link that team needs and could be a game changer. We will miss you Anquan

Baltimore Ravens trade for Anquan Boldin

Ravens get Boldin from Arizona

The Baltimore Ravens obtained three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin in a trade Friday with the Arizona Cardinals.

The Ravens traded third- and fourth-round draft choices next month to the Cardinals for Boldin and a fifth-round pick, both teams announced.

“Anquan is a player who makes the tough catches, and he is outstanding getting yards after catches,” Ravens General Manager Ozzie Newsome said in a written statement released by the club. “He will also help the running game with his blocking skills. He’s a very tough competitor, and with the way he plays with passion, he’ll fit right in with the foundation we have for our team.”

Boldin is scheduled to fly to Baltimore on Sunday and undergo a physical Monday, the Ravens announced. The Ravens will formally introduce him Monday.

According to multiple reports, Boldin agreed to a three-year, $25 million contract extension with the Ravens in conjunction with the trade. He had one season remaining on his previous contract and now is to make $28 million over the next four seasons. The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots also were reported earlier Friday to be interested in trading for Boldin, who had 586 catches for 7,520 yards and 44 touchdowns in seven seasons with the Cardinals. He had 84 catches for 1,024 yards and four touchdowns last season.
