Morgan Athletic Club is what is now known as Arizona Cardinals. It was the very first name for the Cardinals. The Cardinals along with its predecessor is one of the oldest running professional football franchises in the country.
It was in the year 1998 when Cardinals moved to Arizona; and during the Cardinals’ first season, they already achieved 2 records which is one for the season attendance and one for the single game attendance. It was on the same year that the team finally ended its 15 years of playoff drought and acquired their very first victory (postseason) since 1947.
There are already fourteen Arizona Cardinals player who were included on the list for Football Hall of Fame and they are Dick “Night Train” Lane, Charles Bidwill, Driscoll, Kiesling, Ollie Matson, Guy Chamberlin, Curly Lambeau, Conzelman, Nevers, Trippi, Larry Wilson (Current vice president for the Cardinals), Jim Thorpe, and Jackie Smith.
The previous season was the dismissal year for Arizona Cardinals that completed the season with a record of 5-11. They started the season with 4 straight wins.
