Arizona Bike Week 2013
The Arizona Bike Week will happen on April 10, 2013- Wednesday until April 14, 2013- Sunday. It will be held at 16601 N. Pima Rd in Scottsdale, Arizona.
This year’s celebration is the 17th anniversary of the AZ Bike Week and it will surely be a non- stop party. The event includes concerts and festivities for five days so there are plenty of options for everyone to enjoy.
Top name builders and vendors are also present bringing their latest parts, accessories and apparel. There are also demo rides from major manufacturers like Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Harley-Davidson on their newest bike models.
Here are the lists of the most popular events for this year’s Arizona Bike Week.
- Kick-off Event at the Hideaway Grill
Just kick back and relax, chow down, and drink up. Live music is from 10am until 10pm with vendors, giveaways and much more, all day at the hideaway. The traditional kick off to bike week at the World Famous Hideaway Grill on April 5th.
- Buddy Stubbs Harley-Davidson 2013 Riding for Kids Charity Run
This will be held on April 10, 2013 and all motorcycle makes and models are welcome to join this 230 mile ride. Registration is from 6:30am to 10 am and costs $35 to ride and entry into Cycle fest and the Tonic Concert. This event will start at Buddy Stubbs Arizona Harley-Davidson and ends at Cyclefest at Westworld of Scottsdale.
- The 5th Annual Puttin’ for Pooches Ride
The event will happen on April 12. Ride around in the Sonoran Desert with supporters of the Arizona Humane Society (AHS). The ride will start at Chandler Harley Davidson and riding over to AHS for a tour of all the adoptable pets. Registration is $40 per rider and $20 per passenger and includes the ride and entrance to AHS and Cyclefest.
- Third Annual Hamsters Charity “Dry Heat” Run
Every year the Hamsters invade the valley for Arizona Bike Week to enjoy the great weather, riding and the entertainment that goes with it. This year is the third annual Hamster benefit again with proceeds to benefit the Children’s Care Hospital. The ride will depart at 12:00pm. Lunch will be served at Greasewood Flat, at 1:30pm with awesome prize giveaways, a 50/50 drawing, live music and an opportunity to spend the afternoon “Hamster style”.
- Baddest Bagger Bike Show
A registration fee of $25 will give you a chance to share $5,000 in awards and prizes plus a chance to have your Bagger featured on the cover of American Bagger or Urban Bagger Magazines. This will happen on April 13, 2013.
- Sons of Anarchy special appearance
Arizona Bike Week is very excited to have Mark Boone Jr. “Bobby” and Ryan Hurst “Opie” leading the Child Empowerment ride into Cyclefest. After the ride, “Bobby” and “Opie” will be hanging out at the RideNow booth all afternoon.
- Concerts
Tonic
This year Arizona Bike Week at WestWorld brings its best concert lineup kicking off the evening festivities on April 10th with two- time Grammy nominated Tonic. Tonic is an iconic American rock band that has reached platinum recording status. One of their best known Billboard hit is ¯If You Could Only See¯.
Third Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind was formed in the early nineties in San Francisco. They released their self-titled album in 1997, which sold over six million copies in the US alone and stayed in the Billboard 200 for over a year. One of their hit single, ¯Semi-Charmed Life¯ won a Billboard Music Award for modern rock track of the year.
Blues Traveler
Blues Traveler becomes well known as a “Jam Band” and for their unpredictable, improvisational, live performances. One of their hits is ¯Run-Around¯
