Don’t miss this year’s Tempe Oktoberfest. This annual festival of libation and food raises huge amount of money to important works of Tempe Sister Cities. For the past forty years, Tempe Sister Cities are continuously hosting this yearly celebration which is being offered for FREE.
Tempe Oktoberfest 2013 is a three days event which will be held at the Tempe Town Lake. The event originally started as a celebration to pay honor to the Bavarian Sister City of Germany which is Regensburg. But this event nowadays is one of the most awaited celebrations every year drawing approximately 200,000 visitors who are all enjoyed with this volunteer-produced festival.
Aside from the best wine and great tasting beers for all grown-ups, this Tempe Oktoberfest also features non-stop fun and exciting activities for all ages. German shoppe, traditional polka, fun run, giant carnivals, live music presentations, and of course the foods are just some of the main features of this yearly event.
So if you haven’t yet experience joining the Tempe Oktoberfest, then waste time no more. Join this year’s Tempe Oktoberfest which will kick off this October 11 to October 13, 2013 (Friday to Sunday).

This year’s Tempe Oktoberfest celebration is an event which is fully packed with fabulous event that you can always enjoy together with your entire family and friends. There is a unique activity for everybody that’s why anyone can join this celebration even your kids. Some of the fun activities that you can enjoy during this three-day celebration include the following:
Bavarian Beer Garden
This event is best for grown-ups and adults. It will be held at Dish Main Entrance Stage. There will be fifteen different German beers that will be distributed on the spot. This event also features the following drinks:

- Four Peaks Kilt Lifter
- Deschutes Black Butte Porter
- Redrock Pumpkin
- Four Peaks Sunbru
- Firestone Walker Union Jack

Wiener Mania
This event (Dachshund race) will happened at 2:00 to 3:00 PM and finals will be at 3:30. There will be 32 pure bred Dachshunds for 11 races.
Traditional Polka
This event on the other hand features polka music which will be run for six hours. This will happened at the main entrance stage. “Chicken Dance” will surely be enjoyed by your kids.
Race for the Cure
All the participant of the race for the cure event will receive one glass of beer or wine for only $2.00
Giant Carnival
This is among the most awaited part of Tempe Oktoberfest. Adults and even their kids can join and enjoy the different giant carnival rides available. Those who want to experience this giant carnival, you only have to spend $30.00 for an all-day pass to these amazing carnival rides and other carnival adventure.
Delicious German Foods
Of course, this event wouldn’t be complete without showcasing the different German foods available. Get ready to enjoy this tasty treat. The Bavarian Bakery which can be found at the main concourse is one thing that you shouldn’t miss.
