The Preserve consists of 231 homes located in the community of McDowell Mountain Ranch in north Scottsdale. The Preserve was developed by Shea Homes and they began building in 1876.
The Preserve has six different models ranging from 1,222 to 2,132 square feet. Floor plans featured are from 3 to 4 bedrooms. Two car garages are a standard feature on these models.

The Preserve is located in the McDowell Mountain Ranch Community. It is south of Desert Canyon Shopping Center and west of 105th Street.
Follow the McDowell Mountain Ranch Road and you will discover the Community Center. It offers accessibility to the marvelous mountain views, and the adjacent trail system. It has amenities including a heated pool and spa, community recreational center, BBQ stations, exercise room, and an open space covered with ramadas.
McDowell Mountain Ranch Community stays in communication with its residents by sending them a monthly Trail Mail Blast giving the latest and greatest news, such as, board meetings, school information, events, laws, and fitness classes. Reservations can also be made for the Tennis Courts on their community website.
Desert Canyon Elementary School and Desert Canyon Middle School, rated top schools, are located in the community.
