4th Annual Herberger Theater Festival Of The Arts
Whether you living here in Phoenix or you are just a visitor, still you shouldn’t miss this exciting event that only happens once in a year. This annual celebration which called the “Herberger Theater Festival of the Arts” is a huge event that showcases different talents that best describes art.
This yearly event is a celebration of art itself in a form of dance, foods, drawings and paintings, live music, pet adaption, film shots, theater excerpts, and any other performances that will surely be enjoyed by the whole family.
So don’t miss this great chance to appreciate the work of arts as well as to enjoy it with your loved ones. Join the 4th Annual Herberger Theater Festival of the Arts which will take place on October 5, 2013, Saturday at 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The venue will be at Herberger Theater 222 E. Monroe Phoenix, Arizona.
The Herberger Theater Festival of the Arts is a family-friendly festival that celebrates community, super heroes, people, and art from everywhere. The admission cost only $5 per person; for children ages 12 years old and below, the admission is for FREE.
The Herberger Theater Festival of the Arts was presented by the APS. There will be live performances during this event that will conquer both inside the theater and even at the stage outside. Expect to witness the performance of the following performances during the event:
- Lindy’s Groove
- Bluegrass Band (Burnett Family)
- Phoenix Boys Choir and Poranqui
Performances inside may also include the following:
- Contemporary hip-hop fusion
- Ballet
- Indian classical dance
- Modern dance
- Mariachi
- Operatic repertoire
- Belly dance (American tribal style)
- Acoustic percussion
- Tap and spoken words
- Jazz
- And many more…
This year’s festival will also features short films including the film “Yuck”; which is a documentary story about a fourth grader’s school lunch.
There will also be fun activities that will be enjoyed by your kids and all are offered for FREE also. The activities will include the following:
- Desert botanical garden
- Arizona Museum for Youth
- Arizona Science center
- FREE arts for abused children of Arizona
- Deb’s wild west memories
- Face painting
- Superhero costumes contest
- Craft projects
- Fire department
- Phoenix police
All kids who will be joining these free activities are also welcome to wear their own costumes of their favorite superhero character or their own customized costume as long as it looks appropriate for the event.
